DENISE Welch has revealed that she regrets appearing on Celeb Big Bro declaring that she was “controlled”.
The 62-year-old star, who was crowned winner of truth show in 2012, admitted that winning the show was a “hollow victory”.
The Loose Women panellist described that she was at a really low point in her life when she registered for the program.
She said that she was “desperately unpleasant” and “harmful” when she went into the popular house.
Denise was going over life regrets with her fellow panellists Nadia Sawahla, Stacey Solomon and Linda Robson.
The star, who has actually spoken up often times about her struggles with depression and her former dependence on alcohol, described that it was the worst career move she made.
She said: “I sometimes believe maybe I am mixing up regret with shame, and guilt, due to the fact that undoubtedly my drinking and whatever in my life remained in complimentary fall, therefore much ran out my control, I have a lot of pity associated with that time.
” Do I regret not finding the strength, if it is strength, to quit drinking earlier? Yes I do.

The Hollyoaks starlet kept audiences captivated with her saucy antics and bust-ups with Nicola McLean and Michael Madsen.
The soap star continued: “I won it but it was a hollow victory due to the fact that it was a truly desperate miserably unhappy time for me, and I felt controlled into deciding that was rather devastating for me.
” I attempt to live without remorse, but there is frequently a time when I believe, would things have been different if I didn’t do that, however on the other hand possibly it was the catalyst to turn my life around? I do not know.”
The former Corrie star said she chooses to live her life without regrets, admitting that she may have not satisfied her spouse Lincoln Townely had she not made the options she had.
The CBB winner formerly revealed regret over her naked antics on the program, saying: “It was not my finest hour.”
In 2017, she also blasted Star Big Brother for “encouraging bullying” in the name of home entertainment.
