REAL Homemakers of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter’s ex-husband Matt Kirschenheiter is reportedly set “to plead guilty” for his 2019 assault.
The news follows the Bravo star claimed he “hit, choked and threatened to kill her.”
Page 6 reported on Friday that Matt, 37, means to plead guilty in the continuous domestic violence case.
A lawyer for Matt told the outlet: “Mr. Kirschenheiter is accepting responsibility for his actions and apologizes to Gina and his family.
” He is ready to move forward in his life and comprehends that accepting responsibility is an essential step.”
The attorney continued: “Matt is a fantastic dad and eagerly anticipates raising his kids with Gina in a positive and caring environment.
” He has learned from this experience and taken proactive actions to ensure this type of habits will never ever repeat itself.”
In Addition, Us Weekly reported that Gina’s legal representative told a judge that Matt prepares to enter a guilty plea throughout a virtual hearing.
The case will when again be presented in front of the judge on June 9.
Gina and Matt got married in 2010, while they divided in 2018 and their divorce was settled the next year.
The exes share 3 children together: Nicholas, Sienna, and Luca.
Months after Gina and Matt split, the pair entered into an argument that turned violent.
Gina declared that Matt “choked, struck, dragged, tossed and threatened to eliminate her,” according to a restraining order obtained by The Blast.
He was charged with felony corporal injury– on spouse/cohabitant and felony unlawful imprisonment affected by violence, threat, scams, or deceit.
He pleaded innocent.
Following Matt’s arrest, Gina was granted a short-lived restraining order against him.
Gina earned a large sum of cash through their divorce, as a series of court documents obtained by The Blast mentioned the RHOC star agreed to let Matt off the hook for kid and spousal support in exchange for $230,000.

Throughout a November 2020 episode of RHOC, Gina admitted she was experiencing “bad dreams” about the attack.
The Bravo star stated: “What took place that night, I fight with it to this day.
” I still awaken in the middle of the night. I have bad dreams. I wish to give a declaration– it’s one of those things that I understand in the back of my mind would be good and healthy for me, but I do not understand if I can.”
She added: “I spent a great deal of time simply burying my sensations about a great deal of things and it’s not right, so I chose to make a victim impact declaration.
